Venue and Accommodation
The School on Bound-State QED will be held at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC, 中国科学技术大学) in Hefei. We recommend USTC Reception Center Experts Building (专家楼) as the accommodation, which is located inside the east campus of the university. It includes fine dining and comfortable guestrooms.

Hefei
Hefei is the capital and largest city of Anhui Province in eastern China. It is the political, economic, cultural and educational center of Anhui Province. Hefei is an important transportation hub in the area. The beautiful Chaohu, as the fifth largest freshwater lake in China, lies in the southeastern of the city. Hefei is also known as a scientific and educational city, where the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and some branches of the Chinese Academy of Sciences are located.

Travel
Situated in the central-east of the country, Hefei can be easily reached by plane or by train.
By plane: Hefei Xinqiao International Airport (HFE) is the main airport, which connects most of major cities in China. International flights can be connected in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou etc. We recommend foreign attendees to fly to Hefei if possible.
By train: Hefei has two major railway stations, Hefei Station and Hefei South Station. It takes about two hours to get to Shanghai or Wuhan and four hours to Beijing by high-speed train. Please note that most high-speed trains from Shanghai to Hefei depart from Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station. If you arrive at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, you can take a train in the same terminal building directly to Hefei. However, if your international flight lands on Shanghai Pudong International Airport, you will need extra one more hour to transfer from Pudong International Airport to Hongqiong Railway Station.
The university is 39 km from Hefei Xinqiao International Airport and 7 km from the Hefei South Station. You can get to the hotel by bus or taxi.
